Frequently asked questions
Why is my sealed unit foggy on the inside?
The seal bonding the two panes has failed and let moisture in between them. You can’t wipe it away — it’s trapped inside the sealed unit. The fix is to replace that unit.
Do I have to change the whole window?
No — in the vast majority of cases we replace only the sealed unit (the glass). The frame, crank and structure stay put. It’s much faster and cheaper than a new window.
How long does it take?
We measure each unit exactly, have it made, then install it in a short visit. We confirm the lead time right in the quote.
Is the new sealed unit more efficient?
Yes: we install modern units (often with argon gas and a Low-E coating) that insulate better than the original glass — the room is clear and more comfortable again.
